Boss

Well, I'm gonna be straightforward on this one! There is pretty much NO STRATEGY AT ALL in this deck! You just control the board, get momentum, play like you always do to defeat Majodormu Executus and you are fine. The card-draw is good, you have good defense, you have a good offensive too.

How do I know this is gonna work? Well, I look at the mana-curve, look at the deck, look at the priest deck that got me Golden Priest. And all in all, this is a really bad deck, at least I thought!

But after winning 2 in a row in rank 18 with this deck as a test, considering this is just the 7th day of the Ranked Season, I'd say this is gonna go pretty well!

But, there is just one strategy in this one. You have to defeat Majodormu Executus without using Mind Blast.

WHY?

Because after Majodormu is defeated, you face Ragnaros the Firelord, with an overpowered Hero Power. But he has a weakness, 8 health. Use 2x Mind Blast and you win. It is that simple!

Rush Secret Mech Paladin Deck

This week I was trying out some kind of mech paladin... No Equality, no Aldor Peacekeeper, no Blessing of Kings, no Guardian of Kings, just straight mech paladin.
Well, I was doing fairly good until I changed some mechs for these specific secrets (2x Avenge, 1x Noble Sacrifice, 1x Redemption).

Why these secrets? 1. Repentance does nothing when all you want is rush face, 2. Eye for an eye is just too slow because you would rather put minions on board than waste 1 mana to play this secret, even if it's summon by the mad scientist, this secret is not that relevant in your game because your opponent will almost everytime trade his minions into yours.

So, when I changed a few mechs for this 4 secrets, my game was changed completely, because Avenge is a great boost in any mech, Noble Sacrifice is a great way to prevent any mech from dying (at least will guarantee that your opponent will need more effort to remove it) and Redemption is a great way to be more annoying (Shielded Minibot with this secret it's great, Annoy-o-Tron does the same effect) using this secret with any minion with divine shield is super annoying, because your minion will return to life with only 1 life, but divine shielded.

Here's the Deck:
2x Avenge
1x Noble Sacrifice
1x Redemption
2x Cogmaster
2x Annoy-o-Tron
2x Argent Protector
2x Mad Scientist
2x Mechwarper
2x Shielded Minibot
2x Harvest Golem
2x Spider Tank
2x Tinkertown Technician
2x Truesilver Champion
2x Consecration
2x Mechanical Yeti
2x Piloted Shredder

Rush Mech Shaman Deck

While the mech theme is still a very real thing, I was able to make a fairly consistent mech shaman deck to rush some wins in ranked mode!
With no fire elemental or hex, the main use of this deck it's very straightforward, the target of this deck should only be the opponent health points, but in some occasions you can use some cards to trade, but only when you really feel the need to do so!

Here's the deck:
2x Rockbiter Weapon
2x Clockwork Gnome
2x Cogmaster
2x Crackle
2x Annoy-o-Tron
2x Flametongue Totem
2x Mechwarper
1x Micro Machine
2x Whirling Zap-o-Matic
2x Powermace
2x Harvest Golem
2x Spider Tank
2x Tinkertown Technician
2x Mechanical Yeti
2x Piloted Shredder
1x Antique Healbot

HearthStone Keywords and Simple Strategies

There are a number of passive abilities a card may carry in the form of keywords.
These are important to remember, and can often be combined with each other to make some effective and simple strategies that carry over to higher levels of play.

Taunt

A player facing a creature with taunt cannot attack anything else until that minion has been removed. This only applies to attacks, however, not spells.

A simple strategy to deal with taunted minions is to remove them with spells first, assuming you want to attack something else this turn. Minions with taunt can attack just like any other creature.

Battlecry

A minion with a battlecry will resolve its card text as soon as it's played on the field.
This keyword is specific to minions.

Brewmaster minions are useful to have in almost any deck because of their battlecry, which returns an allied minion to your hand. This can be used to return and summon damaged minions for full health, or to get a double-shot of another minion's battlecry. Vanish, a rogue-specific spell, has the same effect as a Brewmaster, but does so for every minion on the field.

Silence

Silence is a negative keyword usually imparted as part of another creature's battlecry. A minion that has been silenced loses all of its special abilities, including those imparted by spells and not part of the minion's normal text.

One simple use of silence is to use it on minions with taunt. This will remove the taunt ability, and allow you to attack any target you want (assuming the opponent doesn't have more than one taunt creature).

Divine Shield

When a minion has divine shield, it will ignore the first instance of damage done to it. This counts both against attacks from heroes and other minions, as well as spells that do damage.

A couple of easy ways to get around divine shield are to burn a weak spell that does little damage (e.g. Moonfire), or to attack with minions that only do one damage (though the former is preferable). A great combo to use with divine shield is giving it to one minion with taunt. This will either force the opponent to attack the shielded creature two or more times to kill it -- damaging or killing its own units in the process -- or wasting powerful removal spells on relatively weak creatures.

However, divine shield does not protect from removal spells that don't deal damage directly, like Execute and Assassinate.

Windfury

Windfury allows a minion to attack twice in a single turn. Windfury can almost be used as a substitute for taunt, as it makes a unit a prime target. Your opponent won't want to let a minion with such a powerful attack survive for long.

If you want to make sure your windfury unit survives long enough to attack, it's best to play them when there is an actual minion with taunt on the field to curb enemy aggression. If you have a choice, it's also best to play temporary attack buffs on minions with windfury. This effectively doubles the temporary boost.

Combo

Combo works just like a battlecry, except that you must play any other card first for the combo to activate.
Unlike battlecry, this keyword is also specific to the Rogue class.

Just like battlecry cards, combos work well with Brewmaster minions by allowing you to resolve the effect multiple times -- sometimes even in a single turn.

Overload

The overload keyword is always followed by a number. That number represents how many mana crystals you will be unable to use next turn.
This keyword is specific to Shamans.

Usually this type of cards are better in stats or abilities than the regular ones, because you'll get the downside of getting overloaded.

Cards with this keyword usually have very low initial mana costs for their power.

The one useful synergy for this keyword is playing such cards on the same turn as an Unbound Elemental.

These minions actually get stronger for every overload card you play, so it's best to use as many as possible on the same turn.
Units that get stronger over time are juicy targets for enemy players, so buffing it as much as possible before your next turn will increase the resources the other player needs to remove it in a single turn (if they can at all).

Choose One

This keyword (or phrase, in this case) is specific to Druids.
Cards with this ability can resolve one of two abilities chosen by the player.

Unique Text

Some cards have unique abilities not tied to a keyword. Usually, these are straightforward spells, but some can be used at special times for maximum efficiency.

Much of Hearthstone is math. It's about getting the maximum gain for the lowest cost in the shortest time.

Stealth

The minions with this keyword will only lose stealth when they attack otherwise it will remain hidden.

Rush Mech Hunter Deck

With almost 3 months from the release of the first expansion, the metagame in constructed is insanely competitive with the amount of rush/aggro decks out there.
So, once again I gather a new deck and a new character to show you another way to climb ladder.
My choice this time was hunter, with his hero power very straightforward, built to rush the opponents health points.
And again I build a deck around the mech sinergy, among some beast just to take advantage of some Hunter spells like Kill Command.

Here's the Deck:
2x Arcane Shot
2x Clockwork Gnome
1x Cogmaster
2x Webspinner
2x Glaivezooka
1x Explosive Trap
2x Mechwarper
1x Micro Machine
2x Animal Companion
2x Kill Command
1x Unleash the Hounds
1x Arcane Golem
1x Metaltooth Leaper
2x Spider Tank
2x TinkerTown Technician
2x Mechanical Yeti
2x Piloted Shredder
1x Cobra Shot
1x Antique Healbot

Basic Strategy:
Arcane Shot it's more to clean sticky minions on the board, to protect your own minions, but can be use in the face of the opponent as well.
Unleash the Hounds it's another way to clean sticky minions on the board, shouldn't be used to rush face, unless it's lethal.
Arcane Golem it's JUST a finisher, don't play it on turn 3 because you'll be runned over by your opponent, giving him +1 mana crystal.
Cobra Shot, for 5 mana you'll be giving 6 damage overall - 3 to a minion and 3 to the face - that's perfect to clean a creature with taunt plus the rush aspect of the deck.
Antique Healbot it's good when you need another turn to inflict lethal, Antique Healbot provides you at least one more turn to finish the game.

Hope you enjoy and feel free to leave a comment about the deck or anything related to the video.
